What does a combi boiler thermal couple look like ?

It is called a Thermocouple, and it is fitted next to the pilot flame. it has a slight bulbous end. You can trace it back to the gas valve, and it acts as a Safety Device, so that it will shut off the gas to the main burner if the pilot light goes out.
