Can someone please summarize this for me in ur own words?

Basically Jefferson didn't not want to be seen as better than anyone even though he was the president. He wanted everyone to respect each other and see them as equals so to speak. He wanted to be remembered for his diplomacy, morals, and values, and not just for being a president. This is obviously shown by what he has on his tombstone.
