Is there any help for grandparents?

I am a mother of 2, And now I found myself in the situation of having to raise my granddaughter. I have been a loyal stay at home mama, and was looking forward to possibly finding a small job, while they were in school, But my grandaughter is not ready for school, I was looking forward to the extra income in the home, that wiould have helped the household a little more, Is there any financial help for raising the grandchildren?
