This Boy Likes Me, But I Don't Like Him, And I Think He Has A GirlFriend Too?!?

"ben", has a crush on me. in may, my friend texed me when i was going into school and asked if i liked him. i told her as a friend and nothing more. she said that he has liked me since december and has known just as long and she decided to tell me in may because she hates him. i thought it was flattering that he liked me, considering not a lot of boys have a crush on me now that were in middle school. the thing is that he already has a girlfriend. we were in seventh grade and his girlfriend was in sixth. i didnt think it was fair to her that he liked me and was going out with someone else. i was at a sleepover three days ago and one of my other friends said he still likes me. i am asking this now, becacuse school is starting in a couple of weeks, and i want to know what to do, considering that he is in nearly all my cles since were in advanced cles. how do i handle this for eighth grade? sorry about the length and if you answer mine, i'll answer yours :)
